FURTHER CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT

Further to the cautionary announcement issued on 28 January 1998, Tolux
shareholders are advised that Standard Bank Investment Corporation Limited
("Stanbic"), the controlling shareholder of Tolux, has informed the Tolux board
of directors that Stanbic continues to be involved in negotiations which may
result in a change of control at Tolux.

Tolux shareholders are accordingly advised to continue to exercise caution when
dealing in their shares until a further announcement is made.
