LONDON, January 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
Closed loop pioneers, Veolia have
joined forces with Resource to collaborate on new thinking,
products, services and solutions which enable the circular
economy.
As delivery partner of Resource's #LivingCircular Conference
Theatre, Veolia will give the 11,000+ visitors attending the
event, at ExCel London from 3rd - 5th March,
a unique insight into circular business practices which will enable
them to preserve scarce raw materials.
Keen to hear from anyone with a true innovation to help
transform linear into circular business models, Veolia will also
host Resource's first ever 'Innovation Den' workshop whereby
pre-selected individuals or organisations will pitch their
innovations to senior representatives from across the business.
Details to be released soon at http://www.resource-event.com.
Estelle Brachlianoff, Veolia's Senior Executive Vice-President
UK & Ireland, said: "Knowledge
transfer and collaboration is the only way forward to build an
economy that can preserve and not over consume scarce raw
materials. So if you want to do more than just talking about how to
reuse resources but would benefit from practical advice then get in
touch as we can help you become more resource efficient."
Stephen Gee, a Founding Director
of Resource said: "We are delighted to be working with Veolia whose
appetite to drive and deliver value from circularity is helping
increase momentum behind the circular economy and turn it into a
reality. Resource is a platform where leading organisations
looking to collaborate towards a circular economy can meet, learn
and network and this year's event will be the best yet."
Veolia's strategy focusing on manufacturing green products and
energy is demonstrated by its investing more than £1 billion in new
infrastructure between 2012 and 2018 to help its customers reduce
their carbon impact. From transforming sludge into plastic,
recovering palladium from street sweepings and future-gazing with
its 'Imagine 2050' report, the company is turning the once
'traditional' waste, water and energy management industry on its
head.
