Martha Stewart will be coming back to Canada to help promote a new line of products at Home Depot Inc. (HD) stores.

The home-improvement retailer confirmed that Stewart will be in Toronto March 20 at Canada Blooms, the country's largest flower and garden show.

Home Depot recently began selling Martha Stewart-branded products through a licensing agreement with Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc. (MSO). The products include paint, lighting, rugs, patio furniture and storage. Other items are expected to be announced through the year.

Martha Stewart's home merchandise hasn't been available in Canada since the expiration of a contract with Sears Canada Inc. (SCC.T) in early 2009, but that was a different product line.

Stewart came to Toronto in September 2003 to suppport the Sears launch. However, the timing wasn't ideal, as it coincided with her being indicted on charges related to trading of ImClone shares.

Notwithstanding the regulatory issues, she's made an impressive comeback, starting a new TV show and blog, and maintaining a loyal fan base.
