LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE has appointed Chris de
Lapuente as chief executive and chairman of its selective retailing
division from January, according to an internal announcement.
The French luxury-goods conglomerate said Monday that Mr. de
Lapuente will continue to be a member of the executive committee.
He has previously served as chief executive of beauty retailer
Sephora.
LVMH added that it has reorganized its digital and information
technology teams around two units--omnichannel and data, and the
group IT--effective Jan. 20.
Michael David, Louis Vuitton vice president of client
development and digital, has been appointed as chief omnichannel
officer, the company said, while Franck Le Moal will lead the group
IT division.
Meanwhile, Chief Digital Officer Ian Rogers will step down to
join a Paris-based technology startup, but will retain an advisory
role at LVMH, it said.
