ABB Wins $65 Million In Orders To Improve Iraq Power Supplies

ZURICH--ABB Ltd. (ABBN.VX) Wednesday said it has won orders
worth around $65 million from Mass Global Investment Co., to
provide a turnkey electrical and automation solution for a new
gas-turbine power plant and build a substation extension.
MAIN FACTS:
- These installations will help boost power supplies and
strengthen the transmission infrastructure in northern Iraq, and
the order was booked in the third quarter.
- Comprising four gas turbines with a capacity of 125 megawatt
each, the new Dohuk 2 power plant will be an extension of the
existing ABB-built 500 megawatt Dohuk 1 power station, which went
into operation in 2011.
