Correction to EDP Renovaveis Earnings

(EDP Renovaveis' first-quarter net profit fell year-on-year. "EDP 1Q Net Profit Increased," at 1704 GMT, misstated that EDP Renovaveis' net profit increased in the headline and first paragraph. EDP Renovaveis' net profit didn't increase, it fell. The correct version follows:)

EDP Renovaveis SA (EDPR.LB) said Thursday that first-quarter net profit fell.

The Portuguese energy company said net profit was 61 million euros ($68 million), compared with EUR94 million in the same period last year. Quarterly revenue was EUR521 million, compared with EUR528 million last year.

EDP said earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization at EUR385 million, up slightly from EUR381 million in the year-earlier period.
