SUN TV NEWS, a partnership between TVA Group Inc. and Sun Media
Corporation, two subsidiaries of Quebecor Media Inc., is pleased to
announce that outspoken, highly opinionated and engaging
broadcaster Charles Adler will anchor a prime time TV show when SUN
TV NEWS launches in 2011.
"Charles Adler is hard news and straight talk. And his success
as a broadcaster speaks for itself," said Luc Lavoie, head of
development for Sun TV News, in making the announcement. "Charles
is controversially Canadian. He will be new choice, and a new voice
on Canadian TV."
Charles Adler, a 37-year veteran of TV, radio, and print, and
current host of a daily national radio program on the Corus Radio
Network, has used commentary, panel discussions and interviews with
key newsmakers to provide a fresh take on the stories of the
day.
"My objective is to create a national conversation every night
on TV that will stimulate Canadians to have their own conversations
with each other about the issues that matter to them," said Charles
Adler.
Charles Adler, a self-described 'natural born story-teller',
adds that the opportunity to host a prime-time show with SUN TV
NEWS and engage viewers in relevant national discussions is a
meaningful one. "I love Canada and I want the Canadian people to be
as interested as possible in the greatest country on earth."
Mr. Adler will continue to host the Charles Adler Show on radio
during the day while hosting on SUN TV NEWS in the evening.
