shareholders of Barplats Investments Limited (BIL), in which
Eastplats holds shares through a subsidiary of the Company, at a
meeting held February 3, 2017
rejected a special resolution submitted to the meeting seeking
approval of the sale of the shares of BIL's subsidiary, Barplats
Mines Limited (which holds the Crocodile River Mine) to Hebei
Zhongheng Tianda Platinum Co. Limited (HZT) pursuant to the Share
Purchase Agreement dated June 28,
2016 (SPA) entered into by the former management of the
Company. The Company will be reporting further on the
implications of the vote on the SPA and the outstanding lawsuit
commenced by HZT.
