Brian Birmingham Joins AXA Equitable's Corporate Markets Business as Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer

NEW YORK, April 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AXA Equitable Life
Insurance Co. announced today that it has hired Brian F.
Birmingham, CFA, as Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for
Corporate Markets, a business unit of AXA Equitable that provides
retirement plan strategies and solutions to Fortune 1000 companies
and their employees. The announcement was made by Bill McDermott,
Executive Vice President of AXA Equitable and Head of Corporate
Markets. Mr. Birmingham will create and lead institutional
marketing strategy and product development for the Corporate
Markets business. His responsibilities include developing
guaranteed income product solutions and marketing materials to
address the unique needs of large corporations and their employees
as they save, invest and distribute retirement plan assets.

He joins AXA Equitable from Genworth Financial where he was Vice
President, Institutional Market Strategy for the Institutional
Retirement Income Group. Mr. Birmingham was responsible for
marketing strategy and communications for the company's
institutional retirement income products. Prior to joining
Genworth, Mr. Birmingham was Vice President, Guaranteed Products
Marketing at Prudential Financial, where he was responsible for
marketing and communications for Stable Value and Group Annuity
products, as well as sales management for Group Annuity products.
Mr. Birmingham earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Boston
University and a Master's degree in Business Administration from
Rutgers University. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
professional designation, awarded by the CFA Institute. About
