BranchOut Food said it has inked a contract to distribute its dehydrated fruit products at 2,250 Walmart locations.

BranchOut Food called the deal a significant milestone and said it is expected to generate a substantial increase in revenue and profit.

BranchOut Food said the deal lays the foundation for further expansion, and said it is already working on another deal to distribute more products across all of Walmart's stores. The company said it also has more projects in the works with other national retailers.

Shares of BranchOut Food, which went public through an initial public offering last week, jumped 31% to $5.82 in premarket trading.

The company said first shipments to Walmart stores began in late May.
