California Company Recalls Lettuce; Michigan Agency Says Sample Tested Positive for E.coli

Tanimura & Antle Inc., based in Salinas, Calif., is
voluntarily recalling certain single head romaine lettuce due to
the possible presence of E.coli.
The company said no related illnesses have been reported.
The recall, which is being conducted in consultation with the
Food and Drug Administration, includes bags with UPC number
0-27918-20314-9 and a packed on date of 10/15/2020 or 10/16/2020.
The company said 3,396 cartons of potentially affected product were
distributed in the U.S.
The Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development
said a routine lettuce sample collected from a Walmart Inc. store
in Comstock Park tested positive for E.coli.
