Pitney Bowes Named to Diversity MBA Magazine’s 2010 List: “50 Out Front for Diversity Leadership

Pitney Bowes Inc. (NYSE: PBI) today announced that it has been ranked 23 out of 50 on Diversity MBA Magazine’s 2010 50 Out Front Companies list. The award listing is based on a company’s commitment to diversity leadership. The publication of the award listing will appear in the May issue of Diversity MBA Magazine. This is the third year that Pitney Bowes has been recognized.

The 2010 50 Out Front Companies list is based on an evaluation of strategies for accountability, succession planning, representation, retention, inclusion practices, and recruitment systems that allow and encourage minorities and women of diverse backgrounds to excel and develop into leadership roles.

Pitney Bowes’s diversity and inclusion practices are incorporated into the organization’s business strategy, thanks to the creation of a Diversity Task Force in 1993. In 2007, the company formed the International Diversity and Inclusion Council to raise awareness and to educate employees about the importance of diversity and inclusion within the workplace. The Council’s action plans focus on diversity and inclusion training, leadership, recognition and communications.
