On October 2, 2019, the Illinois Commerce Commission (the “Illinois Commission”) voted on the general base rate case proceeding (the “Proceeding”) filed by Northern Illinois Gas Company (“Nicor Gas”) in November 2018. The Illinois Commission approved a $168 million annual base rate increase, including $65 million related to the recovery of investments under the Investing in Illinois program, a return on equity of 9.73% and an increase in the equity ratio to 54.2% for Nicor Gas, effective October 8, 2019.
