--United Parcel Service Inc. (UPS) is preparing to test a U.S.
service that dispatches nurses to vaccinate adults in their homes,
as the company and its healthcare clients work to fend off cost
pressures and competitive threats from Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN),
Reuters reports.
--The world's largest package-delivery company didn't disclose
which vaccines it would be using in the project, but drug maker
Merck & Co. (MRK) is looking at partnering with UPS for the
initiative, according to the report.
--The project shows how UPS is targeting a larger slice of the
$85 billion outsourced healthcare logistics market, Reuters
reports.
