--United Parcel Service Inc. (UPS) is preparing to test a U.S. service that dispatches nurses to vaccinate adults in their homes, as the company and its healthcare clients work to fend off cost pressures and competitive threats from Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN), Reuters reports.

--The world's largest package-delivery company didn't disclose which vaccines it would be using in the project, but drug maker Merck & Co. (MRK) is looking at partnering with UPS for the initiative, according to the report.

--The project shows how UPS is targeting a larger slice of the $85 billion outsourced healthcare logistics market, Reuters reports.
