John Hancock Retirement Plan Services Promotes Robert L. Carroll to Divisional Vice President, Eastern Division

BOSTON, Feb. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Robert L. Carroll was
promoted to Divisional Vice President, Eastern Division, of John
Hancock Retirement Plan Services (RPS), it was announced by Arthur
Creel, Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing, John Hancock
RPS. In this role, Carroll is responsible for sales, sales support
and operations of the Eastern Division. "I am very pleased to have
Bob in this role," said Creel. "He brings experience as well as
energy and fresh ideas, which will be important as we continue to
evolve in a very competitive environment." Carroll, who most
recently served as John Hancock RPS's Midwest Regional Sales
Manager, joined the company as an enroller in 1997. He was promoted
to Regional Vice President in Chicago in 2000 and then to Midwest
Regional Sales Manager in 2006. Carroll, who reports to Creel, is
based in Boston and also will have an office in the company's
Atlanta sales office. He earned a B.S. in Finance and a B.S. in
