UAW Says Latest GM Offer Comes Up Short -Reuters

--The United Auto Workers union rejected a new offer made by
General Motors Co. (GM), as both sides navigate a now two-week old
strike, Reuters reported Tuesday.
--In a letter to members, UAW Vice President Terry Dittes said
the latest offer "came up short" on a number of issues, according
to the report.
--The union has offered a counterproposal to the auto maker, the
report said.
