Exxon Mobil Says Two New Discoveries Made Offshore Guyana

Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM) said Wednesday it made two additional
discoveries offshore Guyana at the Tilapia-1 and Haimara-1 wells,
bringing the total number of discoveries on the Stabroek Block to
12.
The discoveries build on the previously announced estimated
recoverable resource of more than 5 billion oil-equivalent barrels
on the Stabroek block, Exxon said.
Exxon affiliate Esso Exploration and Production Guyana Limited
is operator and holds 45% interest in the 6.6 million-acre Stabroek
Block. Hess Corp.'s (HES) Hess Guyana Exploration Ltd. holds 30%
interest and CNOOC Petroleum Guyana Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary
of CNOOC Ltd (CEO), holds 25% interest.
