Equinor ASA said Tuesday that an agreement has been reached
between the Norwegian Oil and Gas Association and trade union SAFE,
averting a possible strike at its Mongstad refinery.
The Norwegian oil-and-gas major had previously cautioned that a
strike at the Mongstad terminal could have led to production being
shut down at several of its fields on the Norwegian Continental
Shelf, including Johan Sverdrup and Troll. Equinor is operator of
the Johan Sverdrup field with a 42.6% interest. Lundin Energy
Norway holds a 20% stake in the field, Petoro holds 17.36%, Aker BP
ASA holds 11.5733% and Total SE holds 8.44%.
