Constellation Energy Gives Record $3.6 Million to 2004 United Way
Campaign BALTIMORE, Jan. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Constellation
Energy (NYSE:CEG) today announced that its employees continued the
tradition of generous community support by contributing more than
$3.6 million to the 2004 United Way Campaign, including $200,446
going to the United Way of Greater Oswego County and Central New
York, making it the top corporate contributor in the Oswego County
region. "As Constellation Energy continues its growth beyond its
roots in Maryland, our enduring partnership with the United Way now
reaches neighbors in need in communities around the country," said
Mayo A. Shattuck III, chairman, president and CEO. "Employees
deserve credit for again stepping up to the plate and making a
difference. Their strong involvement in our United Way Campaign is
one of the ways we demonstrate our commitment to maintain an
active, supportive presence in the communities we live, serve and
work." Together with Constellation Energy's matching gift, 50 cents
for every dollar contributed, United Way Campaign contributions
eclipsed last year's total of $3 million. Employee contributions
increased from $2 million to over $2.45 million this year, an
increase of 16 percent. "Nine Mile Point Nuclear Power Plant is
proud to support the many agencies of the United Way," said Jim

Energy employees also participated in several United Way sponsored
fundraising and community outreach programs across the country,
including the annual Day of Caring Projects. Constellation Energy,
