Alltel Offers Mobile Versions of Spin and VIBE Magazines to Wireless Customers; For a Limited Time Only, a Magazine Subscriptio

Alltel (NYSE:AT) wireless customers now can subscribe to mobile
online versions of Spin and VIBE magazine, the nation's leading
resource in urban music and culture, and receive one-year
subscriptions to the print versions as well. Each of the mobile
online magazines is available on Alltel handsets for $3.49 per
month. "This is a great value for our music-loving customers," said
Wade McGill, senior vice president of wireless product management
for Alltel. "Our customers will love having access to the latest
music news, record reviews and concert dates from Spin and VIBE as
well as opportunities to take part in online forums, polls and
contests. And, as a bonus, we're delighted to give our customers
the more in-depth coverage provided by the print magazines."
"M-SPIN" and "M-VIBE" are powered by DIGGIT Entertainment Group.
The applications are available for download from the Music
Magazines section of the Axcess Shop on BREW-capable Alltel
handsets. Each app provides mobile users with access to content
found in the current issue of the corresponding magazine. From the
"M-SPIN" main menu, users can access "My Spin," where they can
interact with other users; "Spin This," where they can view album
reviews, the band of the month, and photo galleries, and
"Downloads," where they can get SPIN-sanctioned ringtones and
graphics, including one free download per month. From the "M-VIBE"
main menu, users can access "V-Choices," where they can find out
what VIBE editors listen to; "The Low Down," where they can view
excerpts from VIBE's coverage of Hip-Hop trends and personalities;
"Speak Up," where they can interact with other users; "VIBE Extra,"
where they can read album and book reviews and check out concert
tour calendars, and "Downloads," where they can get VIBE-sanctioned
ringtones and graphics, including one free download per month.
