Tasty Baking Company Names Blake Thompson Senior Vice President of
Supply Chain PHILADELPHIA, March 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Tasty
Baking Company has named Blake Thompson as senior vice president of
supply chain, reporting to Charles P. Pizzi, president and chief
executive officer, in this newly created position. Thompson, 48,
will be responsible for the management of the company's entire
supply chain, including research and development, purchasing,
production planning, manufacturing, qualitycontrol, engineering,
distribution, and materials management. Thompson joins Tasty Baking
Company from the Frito-Lay Company, a division of PepsiCo, where he
spent 22 years in a wide-range of senior management positions. Most
recently, he was region vice president of northeast operations,
where he managed the supply chain for three manufacturing sites,
generating over $800 million in annual sales. This results-driven
senior level executive, with extensive experience in supply chain
management, hasa proven track record of increasing profitability
through improved efficiency and productivity, according to Pizzi.
