Amazon, ABB to Roll Out Real-Time EV Fleet Management Platform

Amazon.com Inc.'s subsidiary Amazon Web Services and Swiss
engineering company ABB Ltd. have agreed to develop a cloud-based
platform for real-time fleet management of electric vehicles.
ABB said Monday that the new platform should be rolled out in
the second half of the year, with features including charge
planning and real-time monitoring, details on vehicle health and
servicing and route optimization.
"This collaboration between AWS and ABB will combine our
companies' deep expertise in the automotive, logistics and
electrification spaces with leadership in the cloud to deliver a
hardware-agnostic, intelligent electric fleet management solution,"
AWS's Director of Professional Services for Automotive Jon Allen
said.
