Micron Technology Inc. on Tuesday said it named Mark Murphy executive vice president and chief financial officer, plucking the executive from wireless technologies provider Qorvo Inc.

Mr. Murphy, who joins Boise, Idaho, memory-chip maker Micron on April 18, succeeds David Zinsner, who left earlier this year to become chief financial officer of Intel Corp.

Sumit Sadana, Micron executive vice president and chief business officer, has been serving as interim chief financial officer since Mr. Zinsner's departure.

Qorvo said it has launched a search for a successor to Mr. Murphy, who has been chief financial officer since 2016. Grant Brown, vice president of treasury, will serve as interim finance chief, it said.
