Nortek Air Solutions Continues to Protect Its Patented Fanwall Technology

Nortek Air Solutions (a subsidiary of Nortek, Nasdaq: NTK), the
leader in custom heating, ventilation, and air conditioning
equipment brands in North America, today announced that it is
considering all its legal options, in response to the jury’s
verdict in its patent infringement lawsuit against Energy Labs,
Inc., DMG Corporation and DMG North.
On August 10th, the jury in the United States District Court for
the Northern District of California failed to find infringement of
seven claims in six Nortek patents. The jury upheld the validity of
three of the seven claims, but found the other four to be invalid.
The patents in suit are U.S. Patent Nos. 7,922,442; 8,398,365;
8,414,251; 8,562,283; 8,694,175; 8,734,086.
