PlanetOut Inc. Names New Chief Technology Officer SAN FRANCISCO,
July 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- PlanetOut Inc. (NASDAQ:LGBT), a

transgender (LGBT) community, today announced that Peter Kretzman
has joined PlanetOut's senior leadership and engineering teams as
senior vice president and chief technology officer. Kretzman brings
more than 30 years of technology experience to PlanetOut Inc., most
recently serving as the senior vice president of information
technology for Classmates Online, Inc., an online community
connecting over 38 million members. He also has a successful track
record of architecting, implementing and operating internal and
customer-facing systems in a wide array of companies, including,
AT&T Wireless; Cobalt Group Inc., which develops and hosts
integrated e-business solutions for the automotive industry,
including infrastructure management for more than 9,000 Web sites;
IT management at F5 Networks; and, development of Getty Images'
PhotoDisc. Kretzman has held additional programming and IT
management positions at Metapath Software and Grumman Aerospace
Corp., and has chaired the SAS Users Group International Conference
and co-chaired various sub-committees. He has also published eight
papers in the SAS User Group International Proceedings. "Peter's
breadth and depth of technological knowledge, including experience
with other online subscriber communities, makes him well-suited to
