ADRs End Lower; Avadel Pharmaceuticals Gets Boost From FDA

International stocks trading in New York closed lower on
Monday.
The S&P/BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts
fell 0.3% to 151.40. The Latin American index posted the largest
percentage loss, down 1% to 182.77. The European index declined
0.4% to 151.74, the Asian index decreased 0.1% to 166.14, and the
emerging markets index lost 0.5% to 275.22.
ADRs of Avadel Pharmaceuticals on Monday closed up 12% to $11.73
after the Dublin-based company said its Lumryz narcolepsy treatment
received final approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration
to address excessive day-time sleepiness.
Ascendis Pharma AS ADRs closed up 24% to $86.74 after the
Denmark-based biopharmaceutical company said the FDA turned away
its application seeking approval of TransCon PTH for adults with
hypoparathyroidism but didn't request any new studies.
ADRs of Hesai Group closed up 15% at $10.34 after the designer
of laser radar that facilities autonomous driving said it signed a
multi-year technology partnership with Inertial Labs for lidar
sensors.
