Costco's September Sales Rise Nearly 16%

Costco Wholesale Corp.'s net sales increased 15.8% in the retail
month of September.
Net sales were $19.5 billion in the five weeks ended Oct. 3, up
from $16.84 billion in the same period last year.
Comparable sales, or those from Costco warehouses open for more
than a year, rose 14.3%, across all its regions. U.S. comparable
sales increased 14.6%. Meanwhile, e-commerce sales rose 10.6% from
the prior year.
Excluding gasoline prices and foreign exchange rates, comparable
sales rose 9.4% company-wide and were up 10% in the U.S. E-commerce
sales rose 9.6% by the same measure.
