Cirrus Logic Receives 2009 Product of the Year Honors From EN-Genius Network For Second Consecutive Year

Cirrus Logic Inc. (Nasdaq: CRUS) has received “Product of the
Year” honors for the second consecutive year from the EN-Genius
Network (www.en-genius.net), a premier online source for electronic
design engineers working in the fields of power management,
audio/video, acquisition, connectivity, networking, wireless
applications, DSP, programmable logic, and green engineering.
The EN-Genius Network selected the Cirrus Logic PA107DP
high-voltage amplifier, part of its Apex Precision Power® family of
products for high-power applications, as the winner of its 2009
Best High-Speed Power Amplifier award. The PA107DP is capable of
slew rates up to 3000 volts per microsecond, which raises the bar
for single-package hybrids. In 2008, the Apex Precision Power
SA306-IHZ received “Product of the Year” honors from the EN-Genius
Network for Best Use of PWM Technology.
Introduced in September 2009, the PA107DP is an innovative
option for driving piezos used in medical imaging and ultrasound
applications, as well as programmable power supplies for the ATE
market, because the high slew rate increases voltage response
time.
