LONDON--U.K. banking business Clydesdale Bank PLC said Monday that it will seek listing on the London Stock Exchange and Australian Securities Exchange, as part of the company's demerger from National Australia Bank.

The company's ordinary shares are expected to be admitted to trading on the London Stock Exchange and CHESS Depositary Interests on the Australian Securities Exchange. The IPO and demerger are expected to simultaneously complete in early February 2016.

Clydesdale Bank was established in Glasgow in 1838, and together with Yorkshire Bank, form the U.K. operations of National Australia Bank.
