PR Newswire (US)
OMAHA, Neb., June 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- iSECUREtrac Corp.
(OTC:ISEC) (BULLETIN BOARD: ISEC) , an industry leader in
electronic monitoring solutions, announced today that, after
intensive field evaluations involving several electronic monitoring
suppliers, it was awarded a contract for electronic monitoring
systems and services by Virginia's Northwestern Regional Adult
Detention Center. Operating under the direction of the Virginia
Department of Corrections, the Northwestern Regional Adult
Detention Center supervises approximately 1,000 inmates who are
nearing completion of their sentence and who meet specific
eligibility criteria established for participation in Virginia's
work release program. Under the terms of the contract, iSECUREtrac
will provide the Detention Center its latest System 5000 Active
GPS, as well as iSECUREtrac Passive GPS, In-Home Alcohol
Monitoring, and House Arrest Systems. iSECUREtrac provides a
complete suite of electronic monitoring systems designed
specifically for community corrections. Its System 5000, which
incorporates the industry's most advanced GPS components, provides
location and compliance information in real-time. iSECUREtrac's
Passive GPS system provides all the detail of its active system but
sends reports on a delayed basis, usually a couple of times during
a 24 hour period. When the alcohol consumption of a participant is
restricted, iSECUREtrac's MEMS 2000 ensures program compliance. The
MEMS 2000 measures breath alcohol content and provides visual
identification of the program participant, eliminating the need for
home visits by an officer or the requirement for testing in a
central facility. House arrest or curfew management systems by
iSECUREtrac provide information regarding an individual's presence
or absence at a specific location, usually a residence, during
specified time periods. "We look forward to working with
Northwestern Regional Adult Detention Center by providing
supervisory assistance for its work release program," said Peter
Michel, President and CEO of iSECUREtrac, Corp. "The wealth of data
supplied by iSECUREtrac's electronic monitoring systems can help
Detention Center officers better manage work release compliance and
reinforce those positive behaviors necessary for a successful
transition from incarceration to full community re-entry." About
iSECUREtrac iSECUREtrac Corp. provides electronic monitoring
systems, client management software and supplemental services for
use in community supervision. The Company's rich stream of reliable
data concerning a client's location, movement and status better
enables effective compliance management and positive behavior
