The following table lists unplanned and planned production outages at U.S. refineries as reported by Dow Jones Newswires. The information is compiled from both official and unofficial refining sources and doesn't purport to be a comprehensive list.

Tesoro Corp. (TSO) on May 2 said planned maintenance that began on April 28 at its Anacortes, Washington, refinery had no impact on operations. The work was expected to conclude on May 2 a filing to environmental regulators said.

BP PLC's (BP, BP.LN) Texas City, Texas, refinery ramping towards normal rates, a person familiar with the plant said on May 2. Several units restarted over the weekend, including the ultracracking unit. It will be several days before the refinery is at planned rates following last weeks plant wide shutdown due to power outages, the person said.

Valero Energy (VLO) said on May 2 that all production units at its Texas City refinery has been restarted and nearing planned rates. The refinery also experienced a plant wide shutdown last week due to power outages.

Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM) on April 30 notified the U.S. National Response Center, or NRC, of emissions at its Joliet, Illinois, refinery associated with an equipment malfunction. No other details were provided and an Exxon Mobil representative wasn't immediately available to comment. Separately, an upset at the FCCU on April 19 had no impact on production, the company said at that time.

On April 29 Dow Jones Newswires learned that Sunoco Inc. (SUN) reported the restart of several processing units at its Philadelphia refining complex on April 21, 22 and 24, following planned and unplanned maintenance.

Marathon Oil Corp. (MRO) on April 27 said operations at its Texas City, Texas, refinery had returned to normal following outages at specific units as a result of overnight power outages on April 25/26.

Marathon Oil, also on April 27, said operations at its Canton, Ohio, refinery were returning to normal following planned turnaround maintenance underway at unspecified units since early March.

Holly Corp. (HOC) said on April 25 that crude oil throughput at its 125,000-b/d Tulsa, Oklahoma, refinery was reduced by 50% following a mechanical failure that was discovered on April 22. The company will update the status of the unit during its earnings conference call in May, a spokesman said on April 29.
