DOW JONES NEWSWIRES
The following table lists unplanned and planned production
outages at U.S. refineries as reported by Dow Jones Newswires. The
information is compiled from both official and unofficial refining
sources and doesn't purport to be a comprehensive list.
Valero Energy (VLO) said its Aruba refinery will reach planned
rates by the end of the month following the restart of process
units on Jan. 2. The refinery recently completed months of
extensive turnaround maintenance to facilitate its return to
service; the plant was shuttered in July, 2009 owning to poor
refining economics.
The FCCU at Valero Energy's (VLO) Ardmore, Oklahoma, refinery is
at planned rates, the company said on January 3 following the
unplanned shutdown on December 28 to repair a leaky pipe.
WRB Refining LLC (COP, CVE, CVE.T) said a process upset at
unspecified equipment Saturday caused a brief period of flaring at
its oil refinery in Borger, Texas, a filing to Texas state
environmental regulators said. It is unclear whether the event had
any impact on production.
Delek US Holdings (DK) reported emissions and intermittent
flaring at its oil refinery in Tyler, Texas, while re-establishing
normal operations Friday evening, a filing to Texas state
environmental regulators said. A separate filing on Thursday said
the 58,000 barrel a day plant experienced an electrical malfunction
that caused smoke to emit from the No. 3 crude flare for about 20
minutes, but it is not clear whether Friday's event was related to
Thursday's electrical snag.
