Bank of New York Mellon Corp. said Wednesday it named Dermot
McDonogh as chief financial officer effective Feb. 1, 2023.
The company said Emily Portney will continue serving as CFO
through Jan. 31, 2023 and will then assume a new role leading the
company's treasury services, credit services, and clearance and

Mr. McDonogh will join the company on Nov. 1, the company
said.
Mr. McDonogh joins BNY Mellon from Goldman Sachs Group Inc.,

held various leadership roles across businesses and functions
during her 23 years with the company.
In March, Bank of New York Mellon said Thomas Gibbons would

the company. The company appointed Robin Vince, vice chair of BNY
Mellon and CEO of global market infrastructure, to be his successor
at that time.
