Novatek's Net Profit, Revenue Fell in 3Q

Novatek reported Wednesday a fall in net profit and revenue for
the third quarter, but said it continues to achieve strong
operating results and is implementing investment projects despite
economic instability.
The Russian natural-gas producer posted a net profit of 13.17
billion Russian rubles ($171.5 million) for the quarter, compared
with RUB369.96 billion in the same period a year earlier.
Revenue decreased to RUB163.77 billion from RUB189.16 billion,
it added.
The London-listed company reported a 0.8% fall in natural gas
production, while total hydrocarbon production rose 3.6%.
