Keurig Dr Pepper Inc. will switch to bottling its Snapple- and
Core-brand drinks using recycled plastics, the beverage company
said Monday.
Snapple has already switched to recycled 16 oz. bottles on the
West Coast, and the change will be adopted throughout the rest of
the country into early next year. Plastic bottles for Core drinks
will appear early next year, the company said.
Keurig said the change will eliminate 46.3 million pounds of
virgin plastic used by the company annually. The change will lower
greenhouse-gas emissions by roughly 30%, according to the
company.
