Dollar Climbs Ahead Of U.S. Retail Sales

The Commerce Department will release U.S. retail sales for May
at 8:30 am ET Tuesday. Economists expect the sales to rise 0.3
percent on month, after rising 0.6 percent in May.
Ahead of the data, the greenback advanced against its major
opponents.
The greenback was worth 1.1883 against the euro, 1.3520 against
the pound, 1.0017 against the franc and 110.04 against the yen as
of 8:25 am ET.
