BARCELONA, Spain, Feb. 26, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T* is
rolling out a new cloud-based platform for businesses to manage
Internet of Things (IoT) devices across multiple cellular and
satellite networks, operators and regions.
Multi-Network Connect lets you manage devices over multiple access
technologies like 2G1, 3G, 4G LTE,
Low-Power Wide Area (LPWA) and satellite. Businesses can configure
the platform to work across various operator networks.
Multi-Network Connect supports the Globecomm Satellite IoT
Platform and we expect future enhancements to enable support for
the Bridge Alliance Shared IoT Platform.
"Businesses are constantly deploying millions of connected
devices around the world. Everything from asset trackers and
connected vehicles to smart cities and industrial equipment," said
Chris Penrose, President, Internet
of Things Solutions, AT&T. "These customers come to us for help
in managing their diverse portfolios. We built Multi-Network
Connect to meet this need with one interface to manage all IoT
endpoints through a single pane of glass."
Multi-Network Connect:
- Saves time and operational costs by managing all IoT connected
endpoints from a single portal with one log-in and password.
- Generates end-point reports from all supported platforms and
puts them on one screen.
- Speeds time-to-market for customer business applications and
lowers development cost through access to data from all supported
platforms.
The launch of Multi-Network Connect represents another step
forward for our suite of IoT platform services. This includes
service and connectivity management, as well as data and
application management platforms.
In a recent IDC MarketScape report2, AT&T
was named a leader among global IoT platform providers. "Customers
cited a superior management portal, reliability of connectivity
service, and an executive/partner team that is committed to their
success as the top reasons why they chose to work with AT&T,"
the report stated.
