Independent Advisors From Across The United
States Featured In Made-For-TV Campaign
Schwab Advisor Services today launched a national television
advertising campaign that supports independent financial advisors.
Schwab’s “Independent Difference” TV spots begin airing in steady
rotation today on CNBC and Fox Business Network. The ads showcase
independent advisors from across the nation who custody with
Charles Schwab and articulate the importance of fiduciary advice
and the ways in which the independent model is suited to meet the
needs of high-net-worth investors.
“We are proud to be out in front on behalf of the industry using
national television as a channel for raising awareness of
independent financial advisors,” said Susan Forman, senior
vice president and head of marketing for Schwab Advisor Services.
“More and more investors are hearing about the fiduciary standard
and have questions about what that means. As the largest custodian,
we believe it is our responsibility to educate investors about the
fiduciary model and the benefits independent advisors provide.”
The television campaign is the latest phase of Schwab’s ongoing
advocacy and awareness efforts on behalf of independent advisors,
which aim to educate high-net-worth investors on the attributes of
the independent model and help drive investor preference for the
space. In addition to airing on television, the “Independent
Difference” ads will appear in print and across a wide range of
online properties, where they will include extended online video
placements.
Schwab has maintained a robust national marketing program on
behalf of the independent model since launching the first phase of
the current campaign in June 2016. As part of the initial effort,
it launched the Independent Advisor Learning Center, a hub for
investors to learn more about independent advisors. The site also
includes a mobile-enhanced directory allowing investors to find and
connect directly with an independent advisor in their region.
“Our commitment to championing the independent model is core to
our mission,” said Bernie Clark, executive vice president
and head of Schwab Advisor Services. “Our effort on behalf of
advisors takes many forms: from advocacy on Capitol Hill, to
helping attract and develop the next generation of advisors, to
supporting important industry causes. We are so excited to amplify
our campaign to national television and to continue our commitment
to independent advisors.”
