PITTSBURGH, June 21,
2024 /PRNewswire/ -- "I'm a police officer and very
familiar with the dangers posed when standing in an intersection
directing traffic during power outages where the traffic lights are
inoperable. I thought there could be a safer way," said an
inventor, from Acton, Ontario,
Canada. "So I invented the LIGHT SAVER. My design enables
the officer to operate the traffic lights from the safety of the
cruiser."
The patent-pending invention allows for backup operation of
intersection traffic signals that experience power failure. In
doing so, it eliminates the need for a police officer to stand in
the middle of an intersection to direct traffic. As a result, it
increases safety and convenience. It also helps maintain order and
control at busy intersections. The invention features a reliable
design that is easy to use so it is ideal for police departments.
Additionally, a prototype model is available upon request.
The original design was submitted to the Toronto sales office of InventHelp. It is
currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or
marketers. For more information, write Dept. 22-TRO-1128,
