Thirty cats housed at the humane society are being temporarily cared for at Nordahl Pet Clinic. According to Morgan, "We are working closely with the City of Escondido management, city services and the fire department and police department, and there has been tremendous cooperation between San Diego County animal services. North County Humane Society has provide us with a mobile adoption trailer, dozens of merchants and animal care organizations are providing outreach services which we coordinate during this time of emergency." Clean blankets and towels and bowls are needed at the temporary location. Morgan says, "We do not have the advantage of washing machines, so we need an endless supply of clean bedding to make it as comfortable as possible for the animals. We expect to be temporarily located here for at least the next 24-36 hours." "The new Escondido Humane Society building which opened less than two months ago is safe," says Morgan. "It was designed to withstand fire." For more information, please visit our website: http://www.escondidohumanesociety.org/ .
