BHP Billiton Ltd. (BHP) Chief Executive Marius Kloppers said Thursday he expects the U.S. dollar to continue to weaken.

"Just seeing the weight of money into commodities, the way that commodity prices have reacted, does seem to indicate to me a further weakening," in the dollar, Kloppers told CNBC.

On the outlook for commodities, Kloppers reiterated that BHP believes China has finished restocking but that Japan, Europe and the U.S. are beginning to restock.

"We are actually looking for some stability over the next 12 months," he said.
