Venture Production plc (the "Company")
Application for Admission


Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock
Exchange for the blocklisting of 1,200,000 Ordinary Shares of 0.4p each
("Shares"). These Shares will be allotted under the Venture Production Company
Limited Unapproved Share Option Plan. Following admission, these Shares will
rank pari passu in all respects with the existing shares in issue.

Admission is expected to become effective on Tuesday, 26 October 2004.
