The Company was notified earlier today of the following transaction in the
Company's ordinary shares of 5p each ("ordinary shares"):

On 3 August 1999, Providence Investment Company Limited sold 500,000 ordinary
shares at 100.5p per ordinary share.  Following this transaction Providence
Investment Company Limited no longer has a notifiable interest in the
Company's issued share capital.
