Share buyback programme

Taylor Woodrow plc ("the company") announces that on 6 September, 2001 it
purchased for cancellation 2,600,000 of its 25p ordinary shares at prices
between 183.5 pence and 185 pence per share.

The purchases were made by the company pursuant to the authorisation granted
at its Annual General Meeting on 31 May, 2001 under Section 163 Companies Act
1985.

Further shares will be purchased by the company from time to time in the
market at prevailing market prices.
