Purchase of shares for cancellation

TriVest VCT plc announces that on 1 September 2006 it purchased 200,000
Ordinary Shares of the Company for cancellation at a price of 85.85 pence per
share.

Following this purchase the Company now has 39,109,922 Ordinary Shares in
issue.
