                     Appointment of Non-Executive Director

The Board of Ted Baker PLC (the 'Company') is delighted to announce the
appointment of Tony Campbell as a Non-Executive Director of the Company with
immediate effect.

Tony Campbell is currently a Non-Executive Director of First Choice Holidays
plc, Blackwell Limited and of Pets at Home Limited. He is a director of Punch
Group Limited and Alaska Food Diagnostics Limited and Non-Executive Chairman of
Virgin Wine Online Limited and of Punch Managed (Retail) Limited. He was
previously Deputy Chief Executive of Asda Group plc. No further disclosures are
required pursuant to the Listing Rules.
