Parkwood Holdings plc announces that Parkwood Group Trustees Limited has today
purchased 1,000,000 ordinary shares in Parkwood Holdings plc at a price of
14.25p per share. As a result of this transaction, Parkwood Group Trustees
Limited holds a notifiable interest of 1,000,000 shares in Parkwood Holdings
plc representing 4.67% of the issued ordinary share capital.

Parkwood Group Trustees Limited is acting in its capacity as corporate trustee
for The Parkwood Group Employee Benefit Trust established under a Trust Deed
prior to flotation in 1996. The shares purchased today will be used for the
benefit of current and future employees of Parkwood Holdings plc and its
subsidiary companies.
