Osmetech plc ("the Company") announces that it received notification today
from Electra Investment Trust PLC that it no longer has a notifiable interest
in the ordinary share capital of the Company.  For the avoidance of doubt,
Electra Investment Trust PLC still has a non-disclosable interest in 4,173,684
ordinary shares of the Company representing 1.8% and expect to remain long
term investors in the Company.
