Metalrax, the niche supplier of specialist engineering and consumer durable
products, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ian Paling as Non-Executive
Director, effective immediately.

Ian Paling, 56, has gained extensive experience of working at senior executive
levels within manufacturing, predominantly in the medical devices sector.

Between 1994 and the end of 2007 Mr Paling was CEO of Corin Group PLC, having
been with the company through private ownership and then leading the successful
IPO on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange in May 2002.

The appointment of an additional non-executive director is intended to add to
the Board's manufacturing and international experience, and completes the recent
Board restructuring that included the appointments of our new Chief Executive,
Andrew Richardson, and new Group Finance Director, Michael Stock.
