Project Manager and Chief Geologist Appointments

                          for Zheng Guang Gold Project

Leyshon Resources Limited ("Leyshon") (AIM & ASX: LRL) today announces the
appointment of Dr Dong Ping Ye ("Ping") as Project Manager and Mr Ian Bruce as
Chief Geologist.

Dr Dong Ping Ye - Project Manager

Ping was previously Commercial Manager with Hatch Engineering, one of the
world's leading engineering consultancies to the mining industry, and has over 8
years international project management experience including the successful
completion of the US$235 million galvanising plant in Eastern China for
BlueScope Steel (formerly BHPBilliton) and more recently the US$5 billion
Algeria Express Way Joint Venture Project in North Africa with China's CNNC
Engineering.

A native of Beijing, Ping has spent most of his professional career in Australia
and China. In addition to numerous assignments around the world, Ping also has
over 5 years direct project management experience in China. Ping is well
credentialed to be able to capture the benefits of low Chinese capital costs and
incorporate the latest Australian process design elements whilst at all
times ensuring that international operating standards apply throughout the
construction and commissioning of the project.

Ian Bruce - Chief Geologist

Ian Bruce is a highly experienced geologist who has most recently been
instrumental in the development of the Dairi zinc-lead prospect in Sumatra,
Indonesia which during his tenure was taken from an exploration prospect
through feasibility to its current construction stage.

His earlier experience covers near mine and remote area exploration programmes
in Australia and Southeast Asia where he has worked extensively in mesothermal
and epithermal gold and copper-gold styles of mineralisation.

Ian's recent experience in project development will be invaluable for Zheng
Guang and as the company's exploration strategy unfolds his experience will come
to the fore as we test the potential of an area that has yielded over 20 million
ounces of gold from mainly surface methods but has yet to be explored by modern
exploration methods.

Managing Director Paul Atherley commented:
"We are delighted with the appointment of both Ping and Ian. They will add a
wealth of experience to the team in Beijing . Their appointments will also act
as an important step in the rapid development of the Zheng Guang gold project."

Background Information

Leyshon is rapidly advancing the Zheng Guang gold zinc project to production
status and is aiming to jointly develop it as the first ever Sino Foreign owned
mine in the mineral rich province of Heilongjiang.

In March 2007 independent resource consultancy Hellman and Schofield Pty Ltd of
Australia made a recoverable resource estimate of 1.21 million ounces of gold,
3.72 million ounces of silver and 94,000 tonnes of zinc.

Leyshon's partner, the Qiqiha'er Brigade of the Heilongjiang Bureau of Geology
and Mineral Resources, one of the largest organizations of its kind in China, is
providing a range of services to the joint venture from its complement of 4,000
technical staff, drill rigs, laboratory and other technical facilities. This
valuable support is enabling the project to rapidly move ahead on an extremely
cost effective basis.

Leyshon has completed its expenditure requirements to earn its 70% interest and
has recently entered into a 20 year agreement with Qiqiha'er Brigade for the
financing, development and mining of the project.

Leyshon has its main operating office in Beijing and is one of the very few
foreign mining companies with its Chairman, Managing Director and Chief
Operating Officer all based in China.
